Bullying Support Group
Bullying is the act of intentionally causing harm to others, through verbal harassment, physical assault, or other more subtle methods of coercion such as manipulation. Bullying can be defined in many different ways, but one thing is clear: no one deserves to be bullied. If you or someone you know is coping with bullying, this is the place to share your feelings and get...
I can't eat. i hardly sleep, i can't function at work, i can't see any light at the end of the tunnel. If i do, i hope it's a freight train and it kills me quick.
How does anyone get through this?
I was bullied all my childhood and adolescence and emotionally exhausting is an understatement.
For 2 years i used drugs and alcohol to hide behind my problems which were definitely somewhat related to my childhood bullying problems.
I completely get your point about locking yourself up and isolating yourself, I have been doing the same thing myself until very recently, but its actually not a good solution and you only see just how much it makes the situation worse once you've got yourself out of the rut.
Recently i was able to come to terms with my issues though and for the first time ever i went to see a counselor at the Salvation Army (i''m not religious and you don't need to be). I tell you just having someone who you can talk to face to face confidentially about ANYTHING without having to feel embarrassed or ashamed is a great thing.
If you haven't already tried it, i really cannot suggest more that you do, even if you really feel like you don't need to (like i did for a long time) there's no harm in at least going and seeing if it can help you.
I completely relate so much to you guys, i really feel for you. If you want to talk or just ask me anything at all please contact me I know what it feels like to be the one who everybody picks on and nobody respects. I've very recently managed to overcome what you guys are going through right now so maybe i can at least offer you some hope and somebody to talk to who can relate to your issues, without having to worry about being judged.
Don't give up hope and just remember its not your fault you are feeling this way!
The only problem was that I was prompted to write a book about my experience, which caused me to relive it continuously. In the end I found that I can't control who people are, but I can control if I interact with them and if I hold on to the emotions they made me feel.
During the experience, prayer helped me a lot. Well, until the bullying extended to my church...then it became me showing that I wasn't scared...thus entered paranoia and pride.
If you need to talk about anything please let me know I will help in anyway I can :)
I was just recently bullied here at DS. Someone who did not like my words to another (despite being written kindly and total concern).
She freely admits those words were nothing but kindness.
So to support her theory that they are WRONG, she lies and says they are only "pretend kindness"
I am drained. I don't want to visit with friends.
I nearly did not go to choir practices which reduces pain and lifts spirits. But I forced myself to go.
It helped a little.
DO you think the bullies get how painful it is?
Learn a form of martial art like jujitsu ar some MMA. And go from there. Email me if you want some pointers jmozes33@gmal
IMO - not only do they get it - but causing pain is one of their motivators.
I know this is hard in business/personal relationships where there's no clear authority etc...in that case I'd say document everything in case of a legal case but still go forward.
