Breastfeeding Support Group
While breastfeeding is recommended by many doctors, it is not as simple as it seems. This is a community dedicated to parents who are choosing to breastfeed, providing a safe place to discuss everything from pumping, to questions of whether baby is getting enough, weaning, breast care, scheduling, supply, and more.
It might be easier to move him to his own bed first before weaning him. We always had his bed next to our bed. This will allow you to switch to cuddling instead of offering breasts if he needs help getting back to sleep. Some children sleep better in their own bed also as they get older too.
I'm not sure what you are doing at nap time. This might be the easiest one to eliminate because at least you won't be losing sleep if he has trouble getting to sleep without breast. Give him a snack and then cuddle.
Unless he decides to quit cold turkey, try to eliminate one feeding at a time.
