Breastfeeding Support Group
While breastfeeding is recommended by many doctors, it is not as simple as it seems. This is a community dedicated to parents who are choosing to breastfeed, providing a safe place to discuss everything from pumping, to questions of whether baby is getting enough, weaning, breast care, scheduling, supply, and more.

I don't have personal experience with this but my coworker actually did. She said her doctor recommended warm compresses before nursing to try to open it and nursing on that side as much as possible and first thing when their sucking is much more forceful. She said it took a couple day but finally worked. I'm so sorry you're dealing with this hun!

I had this trouble a lot with my first. Different things worked different times. warm compress like stated above and nursing on that side also hot showers and gently massaging around it, there are really strong breast pumps I think help. If you get the kind that dosnt pulse but just sucks it all out like a vaccume.

I have had several . Whatever you do just keep putting the baby to the breast. My son can pop much better than a pump although it takes a few days. One bled when it popped - ew

Thanks ladies Ive tried it all even went to the docs still won't pop the doc said they won't pop it if its not infected or causing me any pain which it isn't so it looks like I'm stuck with it for now

ive never had one but my friend gets them from pumping...try putting some olive oil on your nipples before you pump to decrease friction.

Hope you have resolved your problem but just incase. I am having the very same problem right now. My Dr told me warm compress before baby latches and when i take a shower to scrap over the blister gently. That did help to fix problem but I still get them every now and then. they dont hurt but if you dont get it worked out the it will start hurting. hope you feel better.
