Breastfeeding Support Group
While breastfeeding is recommended by many doctors, it is not as simple as it seems. This is a community dedicated to parents who are choosing to breastfeed, providing a safe place to discuss everything from pumping, to questions of whether baby is getting enough, weaning, breast care, scheduling, supply, and more.
It's probably perfectly normal - some babies are just gassier than most, but here are a few things to try.
Be sure to burp as often as possible during the feeding and again after you are through.
'gas presses' - push baby's knees toward their chest to help release gas.
Infant massage - light clockwise motions on the tummy and a hand-over-hand stroking motion from chest to groin.
If it turns into 'colic' and she has a firm tummy and is crying due to gas evaluate the amount of eggs, soy and dairy in your diet.
Congrats!!
