Hi everyone, ive joined this site to get your opinion for a friend who is unable to do this herself....her mum has just been diagnosed with breast cancer for the third time...it is in the same side as she has had her previous cancers and has had a mastectomy and all other materials removed......does anyone have any experience of this and can give us some guidence??? She is going for a bone scan in her chest on tuesday and we just hope to god that it hasnt spread there.....any info would be greatly appreciated....thank you
My other aunt had breast cancer twice, a double mastectomy, fought it and won only to find out 20 years later that she had leukemia. She didn't win that battle.
You just have to be as aware as you can, and take all the normal steps to detect the cancer early. There isn't much else that a person can do, because they really don't know where it comes from and how it spreads.
