Hi All,
I wanted to warn women about breast MRIs with contrast. They can cause a disease called Nephrogenic Systemic Fibrosis a debilitating and often fatal man-made disease. Gadolinium is a toxic heavy metal and at least 1% of every dose stays in the body. It is strongly suggested that any gadolinium that stays in the body is the free gad and this is toxic to the human body in a number of ways. It is neurotoxic, nephrotoxic and a known carcinogen. Why are they injecting this toxic heavy metal into those of us with a high risk of cancer is a mystery to me.
They are finding it in the brain tumors of those with normally functioning kidneys that have had MRIs with gadolinium based contrasting agents (GBCAs). And they are finding it in the reproductive organs of women of childbearing years. Here is a link to an interveiw with Dr. Abraham an expert in NSF and gadolinium toxicity.

That being said, I have trust in my doctor, hospital or clinic, to "do no harm" and only perform procedures that they consider safe. Every medical procedure has risk. Vaccinations have risk. It's just a number's game - when the military required anthrax innoculations as a routine for troops being deployed, dozens experienced serious adverse effects, out of the thousands innoculated.
We can live in fear of rare and remote possibilities, or trust that the things that are done TO HELP US will indeed, not hurt us in the long run.
Again, gasf, I am so sorry you are suffering from this rare and terrible side effect. I'm sure you know there are class-actions lawsuits, but that is cold comfort in light of your suffering.
I hope and pray they find a solution and cure for NSF in our lifetime. Hugs to you! : )

The disease in my opinion is not rare. As an expert stated, millions will need to be followed by a plethora of doctors. It is being covered up and most don't even know the diesease exists. Medical procedures do have risks but GE (Omniscan) and Bayer (Magnevist) knew their products were toxic before they were approved by the FDA. And in 1988 Bayers' product was approved for widespread use; the same year the EPA said something environmental happened and there was an uptick in autism.
It took me ten years to figure out what was wrong with me. My anger stems from the fact that we are not being told the truth about the risks. And I include vaccinations in that equation. The right studies are not being done and many of the ones that are being done are rigged. As a society we need to wake up to the various ways corporations are poisoning us with impunity. That is the point I wish to make and again I appreciate your willingness to take a second look at what I was trying to say. Thank you.
