Hello all! I recently found a bump in my left breast and have had it checked out. They think it is benign because I am only 20 years old and have no history of breast cancer. We did the ultrasound and it came back as large, asymmetrical, and containing excessive blood flow. They suggested a biopsy. I consulted with a general surgeon yesterday and he is suggesting completely taking it out instead of just doing a core biopsy. He intends to do this by sending a tube in from a small cut on my breast and extracting the tumor. My sister has had breathing tubes put in and told me that cutting or doing anything around the breast is extremely painful. I just want to know what to be expecting pain wise and recovery wise. If anybody has had one of these I would really appreciate some insight. Thanks!
