Hi Im new too this group and could use all the support i can get. I found out this morning that I have cancer in my right breast. I have an appointment with my doctor on Wednesdayto discuss what the next steps are. Im scared and dont know what to expect.

Make a list of questions, ask for a second opinion just in case, be treated in a cancer center.
Dont believe what you read on the internet, listen to stupid comments.
Stay positive, join a support group, you can find one though the American Cancer society.
Try to keep a normal life, we all react differently, some angry,scared.
I am 25 years from diagnosis, I chose the most agressive treatment I could get, masectomy, chemo, have an excellent follow up.
Had a couple of times benign cysts remove from my natural breast.
You are the most important person to you.

I wish u the best outcome. U sound like an awesome strong woman. However, we all need support during these time in our life. D... above gave awesome advice. I myself am awaiting biopsy result on my right breast so maybe we can help each other thru this journey. My children are grown but I am full-time caretaker of my husband & part-time w my mom. We have to remember to take care of ourselves in order to continue to help our loved ones.
