This was the first weekend in years that we have ever sat down and actually talked. We discussed how we were going to separate things for the moment. We discussed the furniture and what pieces that I want to take, we discussed the visitation arrangement for our daughter. Funny thing, we even discussed sharing the use of the vacuum cleaner and steam cleaner until he is able to get one. I am trying very hard to let him know that I am not out for blood. I want this to be as amicable as possible. I hope I am doing the right thing.
Then I I took my STBX to the house that I will be moving into. I showed him around so he could see where his daughter would be living. We discussed the possibility of him helping me secure the locking system on the doors since the house was built in the late 1800's. All and all, things went well. However, the bitter sweet part - I saw the tears well up in his eyes as he hugged his daughter good bye for the night. I think the reality of me moving out has finally set in. I don't think that he ever believed I would actually do it. As he walked out to head to work for the night, it was rather somber moment.
Funny thing. I love him and always will. Eventhough he has mentally hurt me and crushed me the way he has. I can't even imagine being with another man ever again.

i know how much it hurts and wish you the best in your healing. He was an important part of your life, you have a child together.... and although you can still have love for him, it shows what kind of heart YOU have. It tough when we still have love and just have to change in what ways we love them...but by far, this is the way to go.
To this day my ex and I will meet up and talk and hang out. We will always love each other and we will always be friends...marriage was just not right for us.
My ex and I even drove together to sign the papers...now who is crazy lol
It does hurt but, you are handlin this right.
We behaved the same way, and I will tell you that his generosity and kindness of heart (post my leaving him) has taught me so much about life and love. I am forever grateful to him.

Unless something miraculous happens, it is less likely we will ever get to talk again especially that she is already seeing someone else and the last two times I called he is the one who answered, why would I even want to call again?
