I not going to ask you all for forgiveness or support".....I was picking up a little gift for my daughter and I got drawn into the Apple Store here in Seattle........the place was buzzing so many people in the store great mood ............here it comes......I walked out an hour later High Fiving the guy at the door celebrating my purchase of an iPad.....not a gift for her..........Me!."..........I'm losing my mind!

And I'll I can say is "human." :) We've all done stuff like that! I think it takes you feeling guilty to keep you from doing it again. I'm proud of you for actually feeling bad. Most jerks wouldn't give it a second thought. Take care!

congrats!!

during my second marriage, i drove around with truck speakers that buzzed. you know, speakers that aren't working right and need to be replaced. well, i always had more important things to spend my money on.

on my divorce day, from the court house, i drove to Best Buy and bought a whole new audio system for my truck to celebrate. lol

may you and your new iPad find eternal bliss :)

Good for you, you deserve a treat once in awhile.... but I do know where you are coming from, I find it very difficult to buy myself things, I feel that my kids should have it before me...

You never mentioned if you actually bought a gift for your daughter! I'm dying to know. That is the what the whole story hangs on. If you did, then you have nothing to feel guilty about.

Sharing the iPad with your daughter isn't bad. my uncle has one and there are a lot of things on there for kids. My daughter is just five and she has picked up on touchscreens really quickly. Supervision is a good idea though.

My ex let her play with his new touchscreen phone and came back an hour later to find out she had downloaded a SPANISH version of Pac-Man. LOL
