I would not be offended at all by this email. Although I probably am not the best person to ask since my STBX is very very verbally nasty all the time. So to be honest this would be a love letter on my terms...HA HA Just kidding....no seriousness this sounds very mature, very too the point. I think it sounds great! I hope she holds up her bargain. No I would not be. Some choice to keep there children out of the conversations of what is going on the between two adults. But some won't mind telling their kids.
But I think that Email is acceptable and its OK.

I'm sorry your stbx didn't accept it well...they never do.They pass the blame so they can keep on hurting whoever is in their path(especially the kids)and don't have to look at themselves...very selfish

I have a lot to say on this subject. A lot. I speak from experience. This is a person who is asking to keep the kids out of it. A noble request.

On the other hand, if this man is being less than honorable, fuck him. You can say it politely or you can say it rudely. If a man does not want to do whats right, he won't. Period. Fuck him.

nothing here is offensive. but I've been at this some time, and have my own quirky strategies. here's my minor rewrite:

"It may be traumatic on the children to be involved in our communication, even if they don't show it. It would be good to avoid involving them in our communication. Please email or text the info and I'll get back to you promptly.

It would also be good to not mention to the kids what happened last night, just in case it is traumatic for them. Kids in situations like this tend to find a way to make it their fault, and it can be really damaging. It would be good to protect them from being hurt whenever we can.

I will commit to holding myself accountable to these standards as well. Let me know what you think, I'll be checking my email/texts often.
