Funny, but the loss of this election is still encouraging to me. We will have new leadership, new starts, and maybe our government needed this to function.
I hope that he does address the energy concerns, financial problems, and the medical/healthcare problems. He should be greatly aided by the Congress.
I really hope that Obama's Charisma will be what the country needs to unite behind something.

I promise not to try and take any credit if things go well ... as long as I don't have to share the blame - when it all goes to shit ... shrug

I'm sad because I didn't have a part in electing our first African American president, but I would never vote for someone just because of their skin color. (Actually, I almost voted for Alan Keyes but then I thought my vote would be wasted....wonder if he even voted for himself?)

I voted for Barack Obama and Im fearful for our country's future. Radical thinking individuals scare me. I hope that he is kept safe from these type of individuals. Its amazing in this day thta we are finally beginning to overcome racism. I didnt vote for a man bc the color of his skin...(He is half white) but I voted for the individual that I feel will best represent me and my family. When it came down to the actual moment yesterday i voted for my children's future. I had a long discussion w my 17 yo on who she would vote for if she was able to vote. And she had a lot of interesting comments about Barack. did I take the advise of a 17 yo, yes but I also voted for Barack bc I think he can and will do a better job than McCain, whenever the political mudslinging occured , Barack took it like a man with an assertive approach. While the other candidate hid behind a pitbull ( her words not mine) I lost some respect for McCain bc of this. Again I knwo there will be pple that are upset today bc theri candidate did NOT win and Im hoping and praying for unity! God Bless America!!

I didn't get to vote last night. In my state they publish your name and address online. I have taken steps to make sure my stbx doesn't know where I am. I am afraid of him because of what he tried to do to me before he left and don't want him knowing where I am. I hope and pray that our country is in good hands. God Bless America!
