I read everyone's posts and sift through my own relationship dysfunction, past and present, and wonder WHY we do this to ourselves? I use to go into relationships non-committed. Of course, they all failed. Then, my recent ex bf convinced me to let go and commit to him. That he wouldn't hurt me. I decided I wanted to have a life partner and have kids someday & everything else I did failed so what did I have to lose? Well, he turned into an asshole right after I did give him my heart. So, I find myself now wondering why the hell do I waste my energy, time, & emotions on trying to read someone else's mind all the time or walk on egg shells because you are wondering what exactly the word will be that causes hurt feelings, or getting emotionally abused because you arent perfect all the time, but try to do the best you can. When it's just me I can  have grumpy days and understand it, when I don't feel good let my body rest, when I want to do something I can do it. My dog never gets mad, never complains,  does anything to please me, and comforts me when he senses I am upset. Why can't all men be that way? What's the point when it's "damned if you do and damned if you don't?" Being in a relationship just seems SO TAXING for me and everyone more than not.
