God, does have a plan and a call for us
God, gives "us" free will
And that is where people like your husband frick up the plan
people can choose to crap all over themselves and other people
in this world there is no justice, no fair, you can be principled, the good samaritan, and still have rotten stuff happen,
God is beyond our human understanding, think kid in a cancer ward
mad at God, yeah, I've been livid
do you believe? me? - yes
do i understand it/this world/ how God works? no
pray, pray for grace to fall on your children and you, pray to be able to hear God's call, pray that the right things work out for your family
be mad at God for a bit, then forgive God for what you don't understand about God, (i think God understands that about us)
As far as church attendance, I was very blessed to be amongst wonderful people who wrapped their arms around me and got me through the tough times. I spent many Sundays in the church ladies room, lol. I know my church family loves me and I love them and I'd be the first one there if I saw someone in need like I was. It is hard to go to church at first, very hard but I knew if I didn't continue, it would be easy to NOT go and I didn't want that either. I did miss a few weeks here and there in the beginning but I kept going back and am blessed for it. Be glad you have kids to take, mine don't go and I had to go by myself.....that is hard too. Keep your head held high and put on that fake smile and embrace the love of your church family. They really do care about you and your sweet family!!!!! Lean on them during this difficult time, that is why we have church families.
For a long time I prayed for divine intervention to bring my husband back (I knew that was the only way he would come back) but he didn't, so I needed to buck up and plan my new life w/out my husband, it is hard, even now a year later. During the hard, sad times I have to remind myself that God is in charge and that keeps me focused and moving forward.
Like Missy said, Divorce Care was a great support to me, I didn't do the classes but I did sign up for the daily e-mails, they are wonderful, mine have ended and I miss those daily spiritual thoughts.
God is good and he is there for each and every one of us, we just need to ask, he loves us, he knows us and he cries when we're in pain. Hugs and prayers to you and your little family.
