Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
As far as God's way, this could just be a path you'll both need to take. It's could be together or separate. We have free-will so there are paths that won't make logical sense to us now but may later. Maybe you two weren't meant to walk the same path forever. You will need to be okay with that for the sake of your child. Maybe you were meant to walk a path with someone else.
You guys have been together since you were 15? The fact that you've been together 13 years and still not married says a lot. Maybe he just wants to leave. If he doesn't want to go to counselling (if you guys haven't already) then don't look back! You'll have to come to the conclusion that he isn't good enough for you and move on. It would be tough but so is dragging an unhappy person throughout your life.
I can tell you that as sure as God created shining stars, He desires for you to be happy in love. Love is God's creation as well. And as the first responding here in your post has noted, therapy is very important when you feel "stumped" for answers. Yet if you really want God's help then reading the daily word is a reasonable idea. I urge you not to allow this deliberate seed of feelings of denial confuse you. The hope and faith you have in God removes all negative falsehood.
Much love & many warm hugs to you today!
