To everyone out there:
I wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving. We are all on this site for different reasons. Some have come a long way from their hardships in relationships and others are just beginning. For me it has been a long journey; one which I am still traveling on. Its thanksgiving and maybe some of us have asked "Why should I celebrate this year?" I have lost everything. I have lost my marriage of so many years, my best friend, or maybe your child. Whatever it is you are going through that makes you feel you have nothing to be thankful for do what I did this morning. Yesterday I found myself saying i have nothing to be greatful about. I lost my marriage of 22 yrs and I was too busy focusing on what I lost that I could not see what I have gained. I still have my kids, my grandkids, my jobs, my health, a roof over my head. I still eat and have food on my table everyday and I need to focus on the fact that I have a new tomorrow and a new life and that it is up to me to make the best of it.

But the past few years, I have grown. I have changed. I am ready for new adventure, success and relationship. I know it's close - all of those things - they are close.
A blessed and hopeful Thanksgiving to all who are hurting, who think they are alone, and think this is a terrible time in their lives. We have all been there, but hope springs eternal.
This Sat. My X from a 20 yr marriage is flying to Hi to spend the week with us for Thanksgiving. And to see his 12 yr old daughter..It's been a whole year he has got to see her..We my hubby and I have flown their siblings out from time to time to see us, or we flew to see them..
We thought we could plan our retirement early and it would work but it doesn't work as well as we thought..Not due to money but due to seperation of siblings and closest friends even if it is an X..
Yes I have alot to be thankful for...and look foreward to.Even though my kids mostly have all grown we all look foreward to sharing family times together especially the holidays..This year our holidays will be delayed..But we will be together..
