Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.

My ex is seeing girls and posting pics on FB about it. I don't really miss him but I'm still hurt by it. It's official been 3 months for me too. What's helped is working on myself. I joined a gym and a couple of groups on meetup.com. not to date but to just get out of the house and my sadness.
Also if it's so soon it's not the best idea to rebound. It's an emotional scapegoat people use so that they don't have to mourn or think about their own actions in a failed relationship. That's what your ex is doing now by dating someone knew. Try to focus on you for now if you can. It can be the most empowering medicine.
At this point I just want the emotional crap to end. I don't even know if I care what the outcome is.... I'd be just as happy to wake up tomorrow and have him back as I would to wake up and feel nothing for him...
We get the "get your ex back stuff" here and D.S. removes it fast. They are scams and that's preying on people who are hurting and in pain and desperate. Anything further that you get from them, or if you are telephoned from them--hang up because they will try hard to sell you more because they see you as a pigeon because you bought from them. Don't fall for that stuff.
You have pain and emotional attachment from your relationship and it may take a full year or even more to fully heal and be at a point where you are really past it all, don't even think about him and be able to consider dating. Before then, dating won't be successful.
I have equated 'sex' with being in love and I could not even see myself going there without being in love with that woman.
Maybe I am just an 'odd' male for thinking this way, but sex is part of love to me. Guess I am just old fashioned and believe in true commitment before taking that step.
lonelysolonely......I too thought about in the beginning to buy one of those programs. They are all over the internet. But after reading about a number of them, these all appear to use some form of manipulation to get your partner back. If it is even successful, it will only last for so long.....and it won't be because of love between the two people.
Give yourself time before truly dating......I won't be ready for a good long while. I would have to give myself spiritually and emotionally to that woman; and until I can put my feelings to rest for my STBX, it wouldn't be fair to me or the woman I wanted to date.
Good luck. Hugs to you....
I find myself having a hard time letting go as well, but that's perhaps the separation hasn't happened yet. I realize that no matter how much I change or improve myself, I may never again regain my wife's love, and I don't think any "program" will help me. You can't make someone else love you, or be in love with you, and to try and manipulate someone into doing so is flat-out wrong. If my marriage is to end in divorce, I don't know if I'll ever want a relationship again, but I wouldn't want to grow old alone either. Maybe one day when my kids are grown up, but I would carry the scars from failing the first time around. If someone were willing to accept me for me, baggage and all, then who knows.
