Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
Until you are instructed that he wants to see them and you have a date/time/place certain, talk no more to your kids about seeing their Dad, otherwise it's ready unfair of you and your younger one may eventually feel you went back on your work or it was your fault.
Don't call the law guardian again about your husband visiting because you don't push him into doing it. the guy told you that your husband isn't interested in seeing your kids, so let it drop and don't ask again.
You don't want to push this because you are fortunate in a way that he doesn't want to see them. Others here can tell you how fortunate you are.
If the little one asks, then say you haven't heard anything about it and leave it at that and get her busy with something else. That way you aren't lying and covering for Dad and you're not downing him either. Good luck.
It is very difficult to be placed in a situation like this, but consider yourself very fortunate, as most single mothers do not want to have to deal with the ex's or childrens fathers..most of them would be better off without. Just do the best you can with what you have.. Keep a positive environment for the girls as well, and don't get their hopes up about a potential visit. We all know how it feels to be built up and let down. Do the girls have any positive male figures/role models in their lives such as a grandfather or uncle that they could spend time with or look up to?
