I just got a page from work. It said that if the storm got bad they would call us in to work because they might need extra people! Ha ha ha. That isn't going to happen. I am here on the boat and if it gets bad I am going to be in the thick of it because I am closer to the center than they are. I called up and told them that I was on the boat and I was riding out the storm here. It would have been nice to get a page a little earlier but it is way too late. Damn...don't they realize that some of us have preparations to make for things like this and I have a lot at steak here. They are nuts! Oh well, I am not available and I just called and told them this.
I'm sorta out of the news loop right now....
This is a really well protected harbor. I have weathered worse conditions in open water (not by choice but by mistake). Still, I can't help but feel that this will be a cool adventure to be down here while this is going on.
