I've had guys drive 4-5 hours for a first date. Being online exclusively is tough, idk? Hopefully he is not catfishing you. Don't feel guilty if you decide to let it go. Sounds like you have a lot of emotions going on.

No harm meant, but if you've never met that sounds very suspicious and Catfish-esque to me. In a healthy relationship you should not have to prove your validity. You deserve to be treated fairly instead of being at the mercy of someone who plays with your feelings and comes and goes as they please. Stand up for yourself.

I'm sorry but I don't consider someone as a boyfriend/girlfriend if I've only known them online. That's more like a pen-pal thing than a relationship, even if you feel love for him. And that you guys have repeatedly broken it off and gotten back together - I think the writing is on the wall, you're not meant to be. Imagine if you were an in-person couple - that's much harder to maintain than an online thing.

I have a friend who back in college was in love with a guy she met who lived in another country. They were together in that country for one semester, and she was so smitten with him. She maintained that this guy was her boyfriend for YEARS! He came over here once for a few weeks, then that was it. Never saw each other again, but she was still "with" him in her head. He had moved on, had in person relationships with people, married, had kids, but she put her life on hold for all that time. She's in her 50s now and never had another relationship. I know this is an extreme case, but the lesson here is to not put too much emphasis on a long distance relationship.

hmmm, I don't want to be mean either but never having met the love of your life in person just doesn't sound right. I know long distances can work in some instances but I would hope people in this type of relationship have at least met.......once. I think in your case, it's time to cut all ties and concentrate on you and what you need in a relationship. This game he is playing sounds to suspicious to be healthy. You deserve to be with someone who wants to be with you. Take a deep breath and move on. I totally get how this can happen to you, but don't fall for it. You are better than this and you deserve more.
