Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
A relationship in which we look out for each other's best interests, we wake up together in the mornings and come home to each other in the evenings. A situation in which we are there for each other and we truly "get" each other, sticking by each other through tough times as well as the good times (such as caring for each other when ill or distressed).
Someone to laugh with and have shared jokes, silliness, and meaningful conversations. Someone to travel with and share fun activities. And, physical affection and intimacy. Being deeply involved in each others lives and well-being, true companions. A situation in which we become a family together, and can foresee a future of growing old together. All of those are things that I hope to find in a partnership some day.
I also (still in a different way) really appreciate having a child with a guy who makes a loving father
its nice to snuggle up and be affectionate
its comforting not to be alone when I'm sick
sex when its good, is really good
and according to all the studies, we live longer when we're partnered up, especially the men
but when it's bad, with a bad partner
all that goes out the window
and in my opinion its far better to be without a partner but with other loving friends and family
than it ever is to have your quality of life diminsihed when youre with a bad partner
amen Joyride!
(I pat MYSELF on the back everytime I think of that one)
