Not to much to ask for......

All I have to do is get the kids to clean up the poop in the yard once a week or so. The neighbors will love to see us all going for a walk...they probably won't even mind if he goes in their yard.....

That's called giving up. I'm trying to stop doing that...hope you do, too. Life sucks when there is nothing to look forward to, and it sets you up for depression and addictions. baby steps out of that mindset.. Start by expecting one good thing for yourself. It can be small, but you have to make it happen..

Actually I don't want anything, but thanks for telling me I do. I haven't given up, I just don't want anything for myself. Obviously my kids are a separate issue, but for me...I'm good.

Bull Shit. All the time I was married I told myself I didn't want/need anything. Subconsciously I knew that I wasn't going to get anything, so why set myself up for disappointment. I was just making it easier on Richard. He didn't want to be bothered running around looking for tedious anniversary gifts, birthday cards, Valentine's Day anything. He said it was disengenious. Nope - he was plain lazy and didn't care. I let him dictate my feelings and expectations.
