I think you are being hypersensitive... it was INSENSITIVE of your ex, but if you didn't like it anyway, pick your battles. I realize that the principle is still there, but there are so many other things that will bug you don't let this be one of them.

If she knew he gave it to you, that is weird. I certainy wouldn't wear someone else's jacket, especially an ex.

But if she doesn't know, it's possible he gave it to her as a "present" too. Now that's just funny.

I can't imagine any woman wearing clothing from a her current beau's ex, but hey - there's some strange people out there. Weird? yes. In poor taste? yes. But really, who knows - maybe she really doesn't know and he DID re-gift. Either way, it's more of a reflection on the type of person she is or he is, respectively.

One of those things you just shake your head at in disbelief, have a chuckle and go on about your business - ya know?

4queens! Too funny! Uh, I honestly have to say no. Last year I used to dream of doing lots of horrible things to her, and even acted on some;) But now? I laugh and know how miserable she is with him. Thats my secret weapon. Knowing what she doesnt and will soon find out! LOL

I'm with Jenna. You know though, I could never do that. Just shows you who the decent people are here. She shows know respect for g wearing it, but on the other hand, maybe she doesn't know it was your Christmas gift from him, if thats the case, he's the one with no RESPECT. Don't let it bother you. Well, just to provide a dissenting voice. I am a practical person. When I met my stbx, he was divorced from his first wife. Did I insist that he get rid of the bed he had and get a new one? No. There was a hairdryer she'd left at the house that we've had now for - I don't know - the twelve years since I met him. Things are things. She left a box of threads at the house that I have been mending clothes with for 12 years. I don't really think that there is mojo in things. They're just things.

I buy 90% of what I wear from thrift stores - more than just clothing - I buy all kinds of things thrift. I don't really care where something came from in its past. If it is in good shape, inexpensive, or better yet, free, I'll take it/use it. It's practical.
