Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
Give yourself time. If you can talk to a therapist or someone, I would recommend it. What you are feeling is normal and it hurts. It makes you question everything. Hugs. PM me if you need someone to talk too. I wish I could take that hurt away from you
I am so sorry to hear what you’re going through. It would be one thing if they met you and said “hey I really like you but I don’t see a future with us but we can still be friends, hang out, have sex” (if that’s your thing), etc. But it doesn’t happen that way. You go out on dates, you meet the kids, you feel like things are progressing and then out of the middle of nowhere, its over. What gets me is that he broke up with you via text. My husband did the same thing with me. I left to take my kids to their music lessons one day and when I arrived back at home, he was gone. Later on when I tried calling him to find out what happened, he only responded via text. Talk about pain. Man I know how you feel. My husband cheated and we are currently separated but I’m hopeful of reconciliation in God’s timing. In the meantime, I’ve been able to focus on me and my kids. It has been a humbling journey of healing from the feelings of rejection, loneliness, betrayal, and so much more. It’s a shame that he allowed you to spend time around his kids because now the attachment has formed between you and his kids but the best thing for everyone is for you to go your separate ways. You can’t control whether or not a man will be committed, honest, or whether he will truly love you. Allow yourself to love and be loved. Set boundaries for yourself and live in the moment. When you decide to love, it comes with a price and to me its worth it. The price you pay is possibly getting hurt, rejected, betrayed, deceived, lied to, etc. That’s not for you to worry about because those are the other person’s character flaws. I’m sure many people can say that they have been in relationships where they were with someone but still felt alone. You don’t need that. Love yourself, be confident in who you are and the right man will be attracted to you. Give yourself time to heal. Lots and lots of time.
Do not go seeking love, rather seek friendships. Love can come through friendships.
Stay strong
