Last night I had a dream about my ex. In the dream I was having a party for my best friend and he showed up. And even in my dream I wasn't happy to see him, I avoided speaking to him or even seeing him. The only good thing was the my subconcious at least made him look really bad in my dream. But why is it that when I am trying so hard to not let him have any kind of hold on my life he shows up in my dreams? Has anyone else had this happen?

i used to dream about my stbxh all the time in the beginning. its going away though.

I jus think your stressed about it because he just got out of jail. That is probably why your dreaming about it. It will fade in time.

I dreamed of mine the end of July and woke up so terrified I refused to go back to sleep. I'm not sure how the dream started but I ended up at his place alone with him. He told me that he was NOT going to let me divorce him and slapped me a few times. Then he grabbed me and forced into the bedroom and proceeded to ummm, rather brutally. The implication being of course that he's going to get his (yep, that sounds like him) and then do away with me so I can't file.

I don't know why, maybe fear in the back of my mind? I only told one other person about that dream, now it's out there for the masses.

Something triggered you thinking about him. Its normal. This is part of the greiving process that comes with relationships ending, etc. It will go away completely in time.

I dream about mine still sometimes, sometimes the dreams even get a bit steamy. However I am noticing now that when I dream about her, she seems distant in the dream as well. Guess that means I'm moving forward?

Glad that at least I am not the only one who has had this. Red you are probably right, I have been more stressed than I had been.

OMG... I thought I was going insane.

Ive been doing really well lately. And for some odd reason Ive had dreams about him the last few nights.

Its weird because I dream that he comes home and tells me that he messed up and all I do is just look at him.

Its weird!

I take meds to sleep otherwise my mind goes crazy. I wake up every morning around 5:30 and from that point on is when I have dreams and thoughts about him. You know when you are in and out of sleep those little dreams you have. It drives me crazy. Hopefully one day they will go away but almost three months later and I still dream about that dummy.
