So I've been getting the space I needed... all the while he keeps coming at me hard and strong... trying to turn my words against me when I tell him you worry about me cheating then stop allowing that door to be open for another man to come in... so I've been keeping to myself no nothing and he hits me with I'm allowing the door to be open for  another woman to come in because I'm ignoring him... But I laugh at it because you've already cheated and for what? Because you made a bad decision and the door was not open and I gave you everything so that threat means nothing to me... Not bout to keep giving you all of me to just recieve nothing but heartache and pain!

As fine a case of manipulation at work as I’ve seen today. If it isn’t one it has to be the other right? You have to be getting it from someone because there’s no way you can be happy without him right?

I was married once. I expected him to be what no one else had ever been in my life. Loving, sincere, honest, and dependable. No matter what. "I" was the damaged one and he needed to be the one to make everything better. When he failed? I turned on him. No one had ever gone through the things I had. Damn him for not being the perfect husband.

I could place blame and hold a grudge better than anyone.

You can't fix him. You can't even fix you without God's help. I didn't think I'd ever feel any differently than I did then, but I do. Now I see that lots of people suffer, some more than I ever have. And no one is perfect. I'm accountable for me, that's all. I don't hate my ex anymore. I never hated him to begin with. I hated me.
