Would you support a friend with a man like this? Would you encourage your sister to be with a man like the one you have described? No. Give yourself the respect you'd give others.
Step two- stay away from the booze when you are on meds. They are not to be combine for a reason.
Pick yourself up, and strat looking forward instead of backwards. Like Bella said, look into getting some help, too, maybe a little therapy, too. Good luck.
Oh and nothing's wrong with you. It's love, and we can't control our hearts, we can just teach them that some relationships are healthier than others.
It takes a lot for a person to get through this and move on to a better life. Many things people already have said are very good steps and actions you can take in order to point yourself in the right direction, and that is anywhere he is not.
Take care of you, always go for more and know, this isn't how one should live their life.
best wishes.
It's hard to let go when you love someone. It's even harder to move on when they don't realize what they were doing to you, was wrong. It's like you're the problem not me sort of thing. I dealt with it for years. Don't try to rationalize 'why is he doing this....why did he do that....why do I still love him....etc'. I still love my husband, though have been trying to get a divorce for over a year now, and I realize he will never change. He have to realize that He WILL NEVER CHANGe. He will continue to want to find ways to hurt you. Talking to him is way number 1. Why do they do this?If I knew I wouldn't be on this site. I'm still dealing with it. Several arrests, jail time, restraining order and gps tracking bracelet later....why won't he move on?Why don't he realize what he's done, is wrong? He's in therapy now too- batterers intervention program. What you have to realize....even if you still love him....your love cannot change him. You have to let him go. You have to stop talking to him. Force yourself out of bed to do things when you don't want to. Get out. Pray. Prayer has helped me through everyday. God's grace and mercy is awesome. Will pray for you.
be strong. It's not an easy road, but certainly the best.
