So yesterdays I got to see my kids but my ex did not bring them his girlfriend did and to have her tell me how to be a mom got be pissed. How there her kids to bla bla bla I said thank you for helping with our children but I got this. She acted like she wanted to be best buddy's lol. She stared talking about my ex like I cared I was liked he did what he did but she was like he's better and whatever I was likegoid for him. So not sure his to feel and then she drops that there moving. Lost I feel lost but happy to get to see my babies
That kind of thing can really fuck with a person's head in some serious ways. I don't know if this particular girlfriend was the one your husband was cheating with when you left, but I can easily see how difficult her bringing your kids to visit you must have been. We all know how women in those situation can be snarky sometimes, because they are high on the adrenaline rush of winning the sparkling turd that is you ex.
The thing is, she might just be in way over her head. There is every chance that she was honestly trying to be nice, by giving you pointers on the kids. She might have been misinformed enough to think you were interested in an update on your ex-turd, cause I'm pretty darn sure he didn't tell her that he almost choked you out. Unfortunately, it's really hard to tell the difference between snark and niceness when you're against the ropes.
As for this girlfriend and any others who come along, just try your best to be a good sport when dealing with them. I'd be glad you husband dug up some dumb bunny to help him take care of your children. God knows you don't want him trying to be a single dad. This girlfriend is the thin line of defense between your children and your very abusive ex. They need a neutral third party in the picture right now.
I know you've probably never done this a day in your life, but to survive and get better you are going to need to put yourself first and own that screen name like you never have before. Get yourself to counseling, some way, some how. Work on your self-esteem, trauma recovery, and get healthy for you. Don'e let people drag you down and kick you in the mud. Stay strong and never stop moving forward!
