As far as God is concerned the marriage was over when you have stopped being in the marriage, physically and emotionally..God is a forgiving God and he has provided you with the proper person for you to be married to now..Get your divorce and make this one work..Families will get over it for your happiness and realize that alot has been wrong in this legal marriage but that is all it has been..No married bed together, etc, etc..and be happy pray that god give you strength and show you that this new one he has brought to your life is from him, and if so then by all means make a marriage..Experiance a real blessing that god has in store for you..
As for the girl you're dating - what are you thinking?! If you don't wait for the divorce to be final before you begin dating you run the risk of it being used against you in the divorce. Secondly, you're making her the other woman without her even knowing or agreeing to it. At some point it will come out that you are married. A relationship rooted in dishonesty is doomed from the start.
As much as you like the girl, you have to cut her free. She deserves someone who is legally single - you are not. And you lied to her about something HUGE. You need to be single until your divorce is final, or at the very minimum, be upfront and honest with anyone you date that you are still legally married.
Definitely talk to a lawyer. When I thought my EX was going to be difficult, I was looking at a 5,000 retainer. Since we worked out our "issues", by the time we actually divorced, it only cost 1,000.
If I found out I had been lied to about this, I would dump you, no matter what the reason.
