Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
Given the amount of time his ex is in the picture, I am not sure how tolerant you will be able to be. I mean, it sounds like she is around a lot, and if thats several times a week, that's just too much I think for someone to handle if you know, you may be still unable to resolve some issues from the last relationship.
So advice would be to take it slow and make sure to pump the brakes, without just putting a stop to the whole thing. Our reactions come easy and are just as hard to handle when they do. So its hard to be conscious of what we say or do when in the "moment". But if you try to keep your expectations and ideals fairly real with how you are both feeling about situations and the relationship, it should be able to progress and work itself out to where you both will know if it will work or not.
Communicate as best as you can and be open for him to as well. Be aware and realistic on whats going on without creating conclusions that may not really be.
Good luck.
- Is this something I can expect if we commit?
- If he says no, well you may want to know that he can disconnect even before committing, and give him the time and space to see if he can achieve that.
-If he can't then you may want to consider dating someone else.
-If he can't/won't but is telling you he can/will, then you're in for trouble.
Take it easy. Don't make demands. Just assess and common sense will guide you. Best of luck.
