...and here I am alone, in the middle of the 90 day waiting period for my divorce. My stbxh picked up my daughter this morning for their day together, and I guess I expected him to at least acknowledge it. Maybe he was waiting to see if I would say something. Maybe it's best that neither of us did. I'm the one who left, after years of his infidelities, so I'm okay. I'm absolutely happy with my choice to leave. But none of that is helping. I have felt the tears just under the surface all morning. I'm trying not to think about it, but no matter what I do, I can't take my mind off it. It took forever to fall asleep last night as my mind was going round and round with the affairs, reliving all the reasons I left, the reassurances in my mind that I did the right thing. Now today I am just trying to hold back the tears.
Our 25 anniversary occurred about 3 mos after breakup I had a hard weekend too, neither of us acknowledged it. I'm sure as time matches on these dates will get easier. I was thinking last night about the holiday season this year, with the breakup and my moms passing it's gonna be hard just to pull the blankets off my head I'm sure lol.
Hang in there, you must have had a good reason for leaving so it's good to concentrate on that.
