I finally came to the concusion that I have to let the past go. My ex even came back to me and said he wanted to be with me. For a moment I really thought that it was what I wanted. But then I seen what I have now, and i'm not going to give it up.
I have a stand next to my bed, and inside are pictures, letters, and our promise rings. I finally got the nerve up to let it all go and throw out the pictures and the letters. The promise rings I don't want to just throw out, I paid good money for both of them. And quite frankly when I look at them I don't see any promises, I see broken promises. So i'm not sure what to do with those. I feel quite sad however, I know that i'm finally letting go and saying goodbye to a special part of me. But I know it's for the best. Should I feel this sad about it all?

I regret nothing....just try learn from it.
It is cleansing and the sooner I clean him out of my life, the better!

There is a little clause in our divorce decree that says he can get any of his possessions he left here when we close on the sale of the farm. Farm doesn't go up for sell until 2012. This was done because he was working overseas. Well he's back in the states and he needs to get his stuff.
The only thing he has asked about is the wedding band from his first marriage. I didn't even know he kept that. Yep, it's here. Another one of his souvenirs. I see a lot of broken promises on a daily basis.
I dont even know what to do with them.
Just sorting them will be a nightmare.
Take your time. Someone on here once said they were going to burn their wedding album and they had children. I advised they lock it up for 25 years then give it to the children. They will want those memories even though you may not.
If there are no children, I think I would have purged a lot more. Big hugs to you, Kimmee
