Actually, I like to do some from your list....So sorry I'm gonna steal some:
Love to sit and read the paper with a cup of java
Love to cuddle my little dog, she is such a little lover!
Love to swim and run, especially if involves the ocean
Love nature and hiking
Love reading in bed too
Love having a glass of red wine...AND thank God for netflix!!
Love to read in a hammock...
Love to travel, and yes I have done a lot of this on my own :)
You are right, a simple pleasure, but oh so comfy!!
Guess, I should add...bubble baths, and enjoying a relaxing moment in a hot tub or sauna...
I love to run for hours, use to do marathons, but to many other things to do.
Now, I pick up my camera and head out to places where there are lots of people and take snap shots of "Life". I am learning to play the guitar (better), was in a band for a while, but we disbanded, but my other friend is still in a band and I go to most of their performances.
Going to the movies is a great treat, but I have a rule, I have to watch whatever is playing within a half hour of me arriving at the theater. OK, sometimes I wind up watching some funny movies, like "Happy Feet:. I love to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, oh and finding a new pizza place is always rewarding...
I like to workout by myself
I like to go for a drive alone, somewhere scenic
I like to shop alone
I will try going to a movie on my own, never done that
-go for runs
- hang out at the bookstore
- Netflix
- cooking dinner
- blast the music and clean
A drive in the country
A walk in the forest
Hiking & backpacking
Sitting next to a gurgling brook
Fishing on a lake at the crack of dawn
Working out
Bowling
Shooting pool
Hmm, now that I think about it the thing is I become singularly focused doing these things. The worries of the world fade away and there's only the moment. Very peaceful and relaxing, even in a bowling alley or pool hall!
Sit down with the NYT crossword and some coffee on Sunday mornings - and not having to share it with anyone! :)
Working in my garden
Taking walks with my dog
Working out (especially yoga)
Putting on some rocking music while I clean and repaint my house
Taking a long, hot bubble bath with a glass of wine in my hand!
I love being in the international airport terminal alone and watch people wondering where they are going.
I also love to read in bed lol.
Go to the park and watch the kids- read a book on a bench.
Go window shopping.
Bubble bath.
Listen to music- esp while you clean the house.
Dance in your living room!
Read-wrap yourself in a blanket and drink some hot cocoa.
Ambiance in your house- candles and incense.
Go to the library and check out the current magazines/books.
Walk- or drive and walk through a new neighborhood.
These are all self soothing things that we all should be doing everyday...I try, but dont always do it, but I know I should.
Really...decompressing at the end of a long day in the tub or shower?
Opening some ice cream when no one is home :)
