Well, just things had settled at work I stepped into it again. This just proves that you can't have fun at work anymore.
We are always playing praticle jokes on eachother at work. Someone has put baby powder in car vents so that it blows all over someone when the car starts. All kinds of things like this.
The other night I decided to play a praticle joke on the parking enforcement guys. I took fingerprint ink and put it on the black handle part of their chalk sticks.
Not a really big deal, was it.
Apparently they got the ink all over themselves and one of them got a small blot on their uniform (they didn't figure out that they had ink on their hands for a while I guess). The whole Police Department thought it was funny (even the parking enforcement guys). Everyone except upper management.
I was called at home by my new Sergeant and asked if I had pulled the prank. I said yes I did.
Now upper management has started a full scale internal investigation on this event. I don't understand what the point is of that because they know who did it, why I did it, and it is nothing that hasn't been done around the P.D. before.
I have no clew what they are going to end up doing to me. I could get a letter of reprimand, a few days suspension without pay, or I worry that they will just fire me. It would be pretty shitty to get fired for playing a praticle joke that really didn't hurt anyone.
I am getting really sick of that workplace. You just can't have any fun anymore. This is just what I need to have going on on top of all of the other crap that I have going on in my life.

Is'nt there more important things to concern their selves with like MAYBE crimes?
I have a feeling that they are just head hunting at this point in time. I can read the writing on the wall and I may just get out of dodge soon.

We have a "neatnick" at work..he's a real pill about his truck. One morning a couple guys came into work early and re routed his windshield washer hose..through the fire wall of his truck, then threw mud on the windshield...every time he pushed the button for t he wash/wipe, he got squirted in the crotch with washer fluid. Everyone was standing around when he came flying out of his truck screaming...boss was laughing big time. Guy screams "that could cause a nasty rash"..and someone said "why? not used to getting that area washed too often"...OMG the place went up for grabs!
I would protect myself if I were you.
Mabye a move is not such a bad idea. Not just because of the job but all of the stress of living there. WHatever you decide, good luck , you know we're pulling for you
