Contrary to what she believes, the world doesn't revolve around her.
Today I was sleeping nice and soundly, after having a rough time getting to sleep (something about having to sleep during the day because of this midnight shift has got my compass spinning). My phone rings and I answer it. Who else could it be but her.
She tells me that my dog, that she is still watching because I have been waiting for her to put my wire for the electronic dog fence in a place where I can get it, is out of food. She says that she has been out of food since Thursday and I need to come and get the dog today. I told her that the dog food was in the storage container where I keep the food and there is a brand new bag in there (she didn't think to check), I am in the middle of sleeping because I worked last night, and I need to get the dog on Monday if she puts the wire somewhere I can get it.
If she had thought about things she would have realized that 12:00 in the afternoon I would probably be sleeping right now because it is my long weekend to work and she knows how to track that, she just doesn't care to. So I had a really hard time getting back to sleep because she called me and shook the hornets' nest and got everything stirred up!
I wish that she would think things through before she did them, call me when I might actually be awake, and check on things before she opens that mouth of hers and sticks her foot in it!

Furthermore, the dog is an excellent security system. Very well trained and very intelligent. I am looking forward to getting her and I would have picked her us sooner had it not been for my ex not giving me the stuff I needed to set up the dog fence!
