The will of God...interjected not only with free will, but also temptation. I have always been baffled by mixture.

I am not a religious person so you'll have to excuse ignorance of religion. I oftened wondered how can God's will be achieved if our own free will effects the outcome. After a bottle of aspirin, the only thing I ever came up with is the path to the destination of His will branches like a tree, coming together at the roots. It seems to make sense until I start thinking about it again :)

God doesn't make people be tempted. God gave us all the power to make our own decisions. So when my ex decided he wanted to bail on our marriage that was his decision that had nothing to do with God. Although I do believe that God has better plans for me.

we are tempted everyday, eveything from lust to the simple temptation of an inviting chocolate. the lucky ones have the inner strength to give them a passing glance. The power of free will can make or break a person. I'm sorry that your ex felt he had to make a choice. and i hope that Gods plan for you includes some chocolate. :)
