I have been doing good about NC.. My goal is NC from October to January.. Maybe even longer.. Its the last week of Dec & I suddenly feel a very strong urge to call him.. Its like a drug.. I just crave a hit of him so badly.. Lord help me be strong!!

Why the timeline? Make it NC for good and focus on your life. Empower yourself. If a reconciliation is meant to be, he may initiate contact, but move forward and don't expect it.

I get why you set the timeline, Congratulations for getting this far. but now that you have, I hope you can continue the NC and focus back on what your life has been bringing and will bring you from this point forward.

It may have to do with the holidays and the feelings of loneliness/missed memories that can affect many of us. I agree with the others, if you have made it this far with absolutely NC, I would not consider turning back now. Get to January and then make that goal until June. Then make it forever. Hell, by then, the urge to contact will probably be a faded thing for you.

Congrats, it is difficult, I don't know that I have ever been able to do that.

Take my advice and trust what I am telling you.... DO NOT BREAK NO CONTACT! I only went backward when I allowed it happen!

Write a letter and never send it... post it in your journal but I am 100% certian it you will be better off not contacting him!

I can make it only two days at a time. I feel desperate to call him...so tonight I said why not try for one more day. Keep it simple and say i wont do it for another hour, day and then week. But every time I do contact him i go right back to feeling horrible again.

Thanks everyone.. It does have to do with the holidays & lonliness.. Im pretty depressed.. Plus he has text me & its hard not to respond.. The reasons for the timeline are that I want to take small steps until I am strong again and also we have 2 kids so I know I have to talk to him eventually.. I just needed a break from his drama & want to show him that I have boundaries & deserve respect.
