Tonight people have sunk to a new level of stupidity. I answered a vandalism call at the hospital. The hospital staff wanted a guy charged with Vandalism because he flicked spit balls all over one of the windows of the reception area.
Yes, you read right, they wanted him charged with Vandalism for flicking spitballs. The guy was 25 years old!
I couldn't charge him with vandalism because the code says Permananetly destroy or deface. I explained that to the hospital so they asked me to give him a good scare.
I gave him one hell of an ass chewing. I then told him that since he was flicking spit balls, and salava is in spit, and bacteria is in salava then what he was doing was contaminating a public health center. I told him he could be charged with a felony called Bio Terrorism.
The guy was so stupid that he actually believed me. He almost pissed him pants and he really turned two shades of white!
The hospital staff, and myself, got a great laugh from the whole event. I still can't believe that I got called to the hospital for a 25 year old man flicking spit balls.

THe hard part is to hold a straight face when you are making up funny B.S. and fussing at people. I think one of the fun parts of my job is to B.S. people on occassion and see what you can come up with and what you can actually pass off.
Another time I convinced a guy that Virginia has Radar Detector Dogs (radar detectors are illegal in Virginia). I got the guy to give up his radar detector because he thought that I was calling for a radar detector dog!
