damn today was awful. He was so cruel and cold. He made no attempt to see the kids. After I asked him he picked up the kids and spent 20 minutes chit chatting in the car. Is this going to go on forever?

Truly sounds like someone who you'll be better off without. Any dad who doesn't make every attempt to spend time with their kids is not a real man in my book. Revel in the fact that you will find better and put him in the rear view mirror. Great things are coming your way.

You are always there Montgomery dad. The believer in me wants to think he was in too much pain and could not bear not enjoying the family dinner.

I hear you, and I feel the same exact way in my situation. I don't think I'll ever love again. Who wants to set themselves for that type of heartbreak again anyway? Actually,I probably do. I'm such a sucker.

I'll be here as long as you need someone to listen.

I texted the wife that doesn't love me anymore and refused counseling before filing divorce and said, "I am thankful today for the good times we did have, the places we've seen and our daughters. Have a good day". She texted back saying I brought tears to her eyes and we do have a lot to be thankful for". Great. Thanks.

That's really big of you, and I'm sure she appreciated that. That's the type of response my wife, who is doing the same exact thing to me,would appreciate. Difference is, I'm not at the point where I can say that to her. I feel like that would make her feel better about things, and quite frankly, I don't want to do that right now.
