Long story short here...I said something to an old man who in turn said something to my stbx's sister in law, who in turn came to me yesterday and confronted me about what I said. It was just like the telephone line game. What she said I said was NOT what I originally said! Got that?
THEN, my BOSS tells me this morning that the gf was in last night to talk to him and told him I am spreading rumors about her having an affair with my H. (We are not divorced, so, technically, she is), but this stems from incident with the old man and the sister in law. Basically, she is trying to get me fired!!! Didnt work. My boss laughed it off and told me to be careful what I say, thats all.
THEN, this evening, I was in the store where I work and was buying my kids candy, when I left my wallet at the cash register and the person behind me stole it! I walked away forgetting I left it there, and they took it! It was all of two seconds before I realized it wasnt with me, but I just didnt see it.
We have them on video and had to call the police, but what a day! What a crappy day!
And I didnt want to get out of bed this morning. I was laying in bed thinking of all the excuses I could think of to call in sick, but I didnt, because I am just that responsible.
F ME!

Ok I made a mistake...I said something to an old man who said something to stbx's GF sister in law. NOT stbx's sister in law. Sorry for that.

Really bad day. It will get better. Someday, somehow. Keep the faith.

take the postive side - gf ended up looking like and idiot and you have the crooks on tape so when they do get caught they will be known for what they are. From that light - sounds like stbx's gf and idiots behind you had a worse day

Just chalk it up to a bad day and that's that. Good for you that your boss was on your side. What a piece of work she must be. Drama, drama, drama. Some people just don't know what to do with themselves if they're not the center of attention. I'm sorry your wallet was stolen but like you said at least you got it on tape and you realized it in time to call your credit card companies and so forth. That really does suck. But tomorrow is another day and you're still going to wake and be "responsible" and go to work and do what you need to do. I applaud you for that because in the long run, that's what's going to keep you sane. Just keep on doing what you're doing. Live your life for you and most importantly-take care of you.
