So are you going to let the Grinch steal your holidays?

Are you a who in Whoville? I live there too...but I will not let the Grinch steal my power of one. (Whom ever your Grinch may be...)

I am more important than that...and I...will have a great positive holiday...

I don't live in "Whyville" so...

What is it going to take for you "who" to have a good holiday?

Me "who"...have great friends...family...a job...if I wake up the next day it is a blessing :)

If I'm healthy this Christmas (instead of having pneumonia like I did last Christmas) I'll be good to go. I have 2 really amazing big gifts to give this year to my mom and my son, and as long as they're here to receive them on Christmas Eve I'll be thrilled.

If the tree is up and my dog doesn't think glass ornaments are chewtoys, it's gravy.

I'm really feeling the Christmas spirit, a swelling heart and a lot of tenderness this year.

I love Christmas... It's my most favorite holiday.
I refuse to let anything bring me down during this time of year.

I have friends and family who I love. I have my health and my furbabies. I may be celebrating the holiday by myself, but I know there are those that will be with me in spirit.

Christmas used to be my favorite holiday, but it's faded away over the years for me - and it wasn't the divorce that did it. It just became to much work for me. The cooking and cleaning and decorating and shopping. yuck. To commercialized, to tedious.

And Viv, I was noticing ( with disgust ) today that RIGHT after Thanksgiving, the major supermarket chain here literally had Christmas trees, cookies, doo dads, knick knacs, Xmas Entenman's cakes and pies, you name literally SPILLING out of the lobby of the place. Dear Lord.

Rumpel, same here, day after Thanksgiving, except our Thanksgiving was early October. So we had Christmas and Hallowe'en displays battling.
