That has to hurt so badly, I am so sorry.

Oh, that must be so hard. And the feelings you had for him can't just be turned off like a light switch. Plus you have the kids. There's no set time for how long it takes to get over something like this. Keep reminding yourself that you are a good person who deserves someone better than him. You take care of yourself, do what you needed to do for you. It takes time but with practice it gets easier. I wish you all the best. mine told me last year he no longer loved me and didnt want to be with me anymore. Said if I could change enough for his liking, he would consider trying to work things out. Devastated and not wanting my marriage to end I agreed to make changes as long as he did too. Long story short, he never made any effort to change, kept blaming me for past things he never told me about, while I did (still doing) my best to get myself back together. Divorce is just now agreed apon and our anniversary of 28 years is next month. Quite the anniversary present huh? I don't think I'll be celebrating this year. I'm great full we didn't have kids together. He has two girls that are now all grown up, with their own families. Not sure how it will workout with them? Anyway, you hang in there. Hugs

Oh goodness, reading your post certainly touched my heart, as I too have ecperienced this awkward feeling. I have a young sn whom my husband makes no effort to see, however. The night before my Dad passed away last Oct, husband stated in front of my son that he was " not sure what he wanted." This is our 20th year together and I was totally mortified, concerned for my son and hurt doubly as Ispent 2 weeks prior in vigil for my ailing dad. My son was and still is reeling from that moment and we have had such a hard time as we watch and feel the distance build.
In later conversation, husband said he just wants to live like he is in his 20s (is 51) and "see our son when he can." It is so, so hard and hurtful as my opinion is that his behavior is extremely selfish and bizarre. He doesn't call and even missed sons birth day totally. I attempted Thanksgcall I and Easter get together...and horrible memories resulted, for my son, especially. Huaband literally said "it is just another day!!!!." Very confusing. I feel like I will never be the same and I am celebrating the days I acutally shower, I feel soooooo horrible. We must go on somehow, though!!!

I hope it is ok to state my opinion that any man who leaves his family for another woman or even intention to purse another has a huge character flaw and weakness. I am so sorry for your hurt.

I think they say those teribly cruel words because they need a way to "unfeel" the obvious hurt they will cause. My h said so too...as my Dad lay in hospital bed his last day. Thst means all those cards, letters, voicemails and conversations for all those years were a lie?? An immature behavior, though so very hurtful.

I am in same boat, my husband left 2 weeks ago at first he lived with his mom about a week but now he's living with the other woman, it's hard to move on I keep telling myself I deserve better I will fiND some one else, it's hard my husband doesn't talk to me at all he harasses me about money that's it. He hasn't seen our kids in over a week.
