The Ex called me this afternoon and woke me up (I worked last night). She asked me if I know any good Deputies. I asked her why. She didn't say at first. I told her I won't say a thing until she tells me what is going on. She told me that her mother tried to kill herself this morning. She locked herself in her bedroom and started a fire on the bed. Her husband knocked the door down and put out the fire. THey took her to the hospital and she was going to be sent to a facility on a Temporary Detention Order.
The Ex asks me who will do the transport and asked me to pull some strings to get someone nice. I told her that there are transport units within the sheriff's office and I cant change who will do the transport. She was mad but didnt ay much more.
I asked her what was going on with her mother because, until lately, she was doing good. She told me that she has been going downhill since her sister and her sister's kids visited. Her sisters husband got into a spat with the family and caused all kinds of stress, as did her sister.
I offered to go to the E.R. to help because I still like my mother in law. My ex said that was okay. Her mother still likes me, a lot, and she refuses to believe that my Ex and I aren't together.
What really set her mom off was all the family stress between my ex and her sister. Both of them have been causing huge amounts of stress within their family. My ex's family loved me and they are really disappointed with my ex about this whole thing.
This is another example of how selfish my ex is. Part of the family issues are being caused by her and all she is willing to do is try to clean up the mess. I don't hear from her for so long and then she wants me to use my influence to change something so she calls. She is a user!
Oh well....the gloves are off too. A bunch of my friends who work in Madison County just found out that my ex and I split and they said that she has been speeding by them all of the time and they have been ignoring her. Now that we are split they aren't going to ignore her anymore. (Insert Evil Laugh).

You are right--your ex is a user. Like I said before, she only calls you when she needs something. You are so better off without her.
Guess she better start saving her money--sounds like she's going to be paying an awful lot of speeding tickets.
