Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
I know you're tough, keep venting when you feel the need. Are you in the process of divorcing, or are you still hanging on, because he's "sorry" and wants to get back together?
It was really devastated for me and I can't even begin to imagine the pain my mum was suffering...
I'm 31 now, my parents are still together and to be honest, I think it was the biggest mistake ever!!! My mum "forgave" him ( I don't think you can forgive something like that) You can try, but deep down in your heart you never truly do.
Since then, my mum has never been happy again. She agreed on having the girl visiting my dad at home every second weekend, but it's been a year now since she is living with my mum and dad full time. It's been horrible for my mum!
You have to think that a child is not something that is gonna suddenly disappear out of someone's life.
I can imagine how you are feeling, cause I saw my mum struggling with her emotions for years. And to make it worse, the woman that had the baby with my dad is only 4 years older than I do.
It was pretty hard on my mum self-steam.
My suggestion, deep breaths... It's gonna hurt like hell, but let him go.
We were living together at my mothers house when I found out what happened. I kicked him out, and have since got an apartment for me and my son. My husband has basically moved in; however, he is not on the lease.
I do want to work it out but it's hard. There's so much pain. I'm getting better but it's still hard. I believe in second chances but I have to know that even if I give him a second chance it doesn't mean it will work out for us.
The ball is in my court, who knows. I may just throw the ball away.
I am focused on myself now. Improving one day at a time. Introducing new friends and people into my life. Positive people. Too much negativity in my life the last few years, physically draining. Therapy and my divorce group have been extremely helpful.
Wishing you all the best. Stay strong and positive.
