I just saw the schedule at my work changed. I was not asked about this and it was just done. The Sgt that changed the schedule and makes the schedule is not on my Shit list.
Originally I was supposed to be off for Christmas. Now I am working that weekend. It is the beginning of a 5 days stretch of 12 hour days! WTF? Not only that, but one of my weekends were taken away so I work two long weekends in a row for Christmas.
I am so frigging pissed off I feel meaner than a dog shitting tacks. I now work Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve.
I sent an email to the person who made the schedule and complained and expressed my view that this isn't fair. I want FAMILY time too during the holidays. If that doesn't work I am going to the director.
If I have to work it, I am hatching out my own little spiteful plan. Just because I don't outrank this person doesn't mean that I don't have any teeth!

I'm per dium now, but before I would work every other holiday. So say on for Thanksgiving, off for Christmas, and on for New Years Eve again.
Btw....I am not single these days. I wouldn't mind being able to spend Christmas with my girlfriend. I also have other family, including a 2.5 year old niece, that are very important to me.
If I end up getting screwed over here....someone else will get screwed over later on.

I'm on a passive aggressive attack at work. I kind of forget why, but I'm having fun with it, and it seems to be working.
