Since my divorce, I've been dating a freind of mine for years.
We are intimate, both in our late 40's, and he asked me if I was pregnant!
He claims he hasn't seen me have my period in months, and it's been bothering him. But, he also said that if I was, he'd be happy.
I commented that I'd be 48, and I really don't want a child being that old. (Already have a 20 and 16 yr old)
He seemed hurt.
What a strange conversation!
Anyone else go through this?

My husband only kept track of my periods to see when it was a good time to get physical...I think if he ever said the thing your guy did, I'd be dumbfounded that a) he paid attention, b) he paid attention for some reason other than sex and c) a man on this earth actually thought he wanted children totally on his own accord.
But yeah, my kids are small and I imagine when they are 20 and 16 I will be so over having kids....oh wait, I am now! Again, I think its really neat that a man was attentive enough to think you were pregnant and to actually want to have your children. Sounds like he might just need a little reassurance that you are all that he needs and give him a nudge that someday there might be grandkids if he really wants to play with babies! ;) Thanks for sharing.
I wish I would have divorced 10 yrs ago to explore the option of more kids.
He is the most attentive man I've ever met. He proved that to all my neighbors the past few days, plowing their driveways from 20" of snow. He joked that our summer will be filled with BBQ's. I've also had 3 neighbors personally come to me that he is a once in a lifetime man, but, I already know that.
