That's what some of my friends will say to me if I open up to them about my true feelings. That is why forums such as this are very important, especially to people like me, who can't turn to anyone.

My wife of 10 years told me early January that she wanted to separate and get a divorce. She is still living with me and our daughters until she saves up enough money to move out. She will take the girls with her and split time between us with the girls. We have been civil, mostly keeping to ourselves at home. She already told our kids and after over a week of sadness and crying, our kids seem pretty ok. Again, my wife and I are not arguing and are pretty civil at home.

I asked her why does she feel this way and what could I have done. Her response was, "I've felt this way for a very long time and decided that I just don't want to be married anymore. It's nothing you did or didn't do, I just don't want to be married." I begged her to talk it out with me but she said there's nothing to talk about, she is done being married. She also asked that I respect her space and desire to not talk about it.

She said to not worry about custody, as she will never take the kids away. She wants for me and the kids to maintain a close, but shared relationship. She goes out with her friend a few times and would leave without giving info on where she goes. When I ask her, she just says she wanted to just get out.

I'm very devastated and have not slept well since she told me. I'm also catching myself holding back tears. Not sure if I need advice or just need to vent. I'm just so confused and extremely saddened beyond belief. I mentioned this to my friends and they were supportive, but I can tell they are getting tired of hearing me crying to them. I've known these guys for a while and know that crying over something you can't control just makes you seem like a whining little b word.
