As many of you know, I have finally cuts ties with my STBX a couple months ago. We can't go complete no contact because we have kids, but it is very limited. I have learned it does get a little better with time, and I am no longer concerned about what he is doing. I guess it has finally sunk in after years of seperation and 18 years together, we were not on the same page. I realized that I have become very angry with the situation. No so much at him or me, but just having to start over. And I can honestly say right now, I will never , ever get maarried again. It is not worth the hurt that I have been through. MAby I will differently in time, but now, I want nothing to do with any man........

Sorry for your pain, but glad you are finding relief from the marriage and struggle.

The anger is understandable, but should go away in time. It is most likely a sage of the grieving process that you sound like you might be in. Been there to and moved on past it. Just keep moving forward to what is best for you. Take a relaxing day out at the yacht club. The pier and beach use to be open to the public. Best to you.

I'm sure it's a stage... But I'm taking one day at a time. Beach always does something for me. Just haven't had much motivation. Maby soon

I know how you feel - and when you can make it out to the beach - go. It helps. It will take time - you are broken, but time will put your back together- you won't be the same but you'll find peace. Hang in there.

Thanks for the kind words.... I am broken, but not as broke as I was 2 months ago...So time is on my side right now. I def think a day at the beach this weekend is much needed.

I can relate to the anger of having to start over. I think that is partly why my post divorce has been so hard. I keep finding things that need to be taken care of and there is now just one of me. I am in therapy to try and learn to be good to myself and take care of myself. I am so used to doing it for others I feel guilty doing it for myself. Guess we are all in the process.

It's good that you're letting yourself grieve. You're right, perhaps after time has past, and your kids have adjusted, you could start dating again. Never is word that's hard to maintain.
