Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
I can only slightly relate to your post.
I went through a divorce two years ago, I walked out.
I have had lots of second thoughts but he moved on.
You made the choice to move and whatever the job sit.
right now I would think you need to slow down and try to
get back some contol of your life. You are moving faster than
the speed of relationships can follow. Give yourself time to make friends and find a job and hey, invite some of your old friends out or your family.
I have been fighting the downs for a while now as well, but you know there absolutely are so many reasons to look ahead.
Please make list of all of your positive traits and look at them and try to remember when you felt like life WAS good.
Please do seek professional help before you let this stuff get you way tooo down. Your mind is not clear right now and you know it, I believe that is why you are here.
I tried to online dating, didn't like it at all. I think you have to go through too many to find anyone you can relate to.
Face to face works so much better.
Even if your not working sometimes volunteering and helping others who are in a lot more need than yourself can make you see the folly in the way you are looking at things.
We want to see you post back here again and SOON.
We are your friends and this world holds a lot more for you.
Keep in touch and let us know how you are.
You're wrong.
You've had a good job, successful relationships, and a positive life, it's time to take that back, find the you that you were and build upon that.
You sound very bright and quite articulate. Tell me something interesting about YOU. What else makes you unique?
Everything is a choice. You can sit, be sad and maudlin, not see the positive in anything and be without that girl, or you can find the beauty in SOMETHING....anything and be without that girl. Either way, you are without that girl.
Choose to realize that you woke up this morning and can put your feet on the ground and stand up. With those steps, you're leaps and bounds ahead of so many in the world.
That's a positive.
1) Give up and sink
2) Tread water and wait for someone to come to our rescue
3) Start swimming towards land
Perhaps the swim to shore seems impossible. Maybe it is if we think about it as one, long brutal attempt. We can swim for a bit, even doggie paddle or back stroke. Maybe take a rest and tread water. Regain some stamina and start swimming again.
Maybe if you think of the way out of the place you're in in similar terms? Find a good coach (councelor or therapist) to help guide you along at a pace that's not too threatening?
Small steps. A few at first, then more, and more and more.
A journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step...
Get a job doing anything to start.
you will be amazed at how your self esteem will start to lift.
You already proved you can have another relationship.
So...You can do it again
Don't give up.....just keep on and focus on one step at a time
