Don't get me wrong doing so much better so as not to discourage anyone, but the bad moments I have suck. Sometimes I just feel so bad because even though I would never want him back the fact he treats her better kills me. Why can't he leave my head why are all the good things happening to him?

Don't be so sure that he is treating her better or that all good things happen to him. If he treated you bad, she is getting the same. She might just be tolerating it differently. I thought my husband and his ow were all lovey dovey with each other all the time. Turns out she has been on the receiving end of his BS but continues to come back for more. Knowing that kind of made me feel better because she deserves it and at least I know they are the happy couple I once thought they were.

I have to keep thinking that if he would not change for me and even the kids than he would not change for anyone else. I did just find out he has a new tattoo that says "always there for you". This of cause made me feel like crap. My son who is 23 really was good to me when he saw I was upset. He said Mom who am I with, you because I want to be. I know I am the better person and the better parent I just wish she would leave him. I just want him to be miserable and alone.

Rose--sounds like you have a pretty amazing son. You did a good job. I too worry about my husband treatung his girlfriend better than he ever treated me but I will agree with broken. It may appear that he is treating her better but he is not. Mine already left her once because to quote him "she slipped up". I have no clue what she did but probably nothing. I realize now that he just cant be happy. I couldnt make him happy and neither can this new person. My mom used to tell me all the time that ultimately people dont change. Of course I didnt believe her because I thought I would be the one to make him be better because our live was so special--blah blah blah. I do get sick to my stomach when I see them together and think she is making him happy and for a short time that might be the case but not for the long run. As far as the tattoo goes, I also know how much that hurts and mine tattooed her (another woman, another breakup) name on his leg. She probably pressured him to do it or something. I know it stings and nothing can take that pain away but stay strong and remember you are a wonderful person with a great future in front of you. Something I am teying to remind myself if daily. Prayers and hugs.

jprjat thank you for your reply. I do have to keep thinking that he wont change and the mean cheating person he was is who he still is. Like I said I just want to know that since he wouldn't change for me he wouldn't change for anyone. And I hope she does leave him and he ends up alone. I don't know if he treats her bad, but I know he can't be all that great since he does not treat his own kids that great. He was to busy on fathers day for my son to take him out. He actually told him he was busy and couldn't go they would have to do it another night. I just don't wish him any happiness.
